Mediaeval art
Sant Quirze de Pedret Sant Quirze de Pedret is a supreme work of pre-Romanesque architecture. The building was constructed between the ninth and tenth centuries with contributions from the Romanesque period. It contains the reproduction of important mural paintings from the tenth century (the Orant and the Knight) and twelfth century (the parable of the Prudent Virgins and the Simple Virgins). The bridge of Pedret is Gothic and is shaped like a donkey's back; it dates back to the thirteenth century.
Sant Sadurní de Rotgers The church was constructed between the eleventh and twelfth centuries and it was consecrated in 1167. It comprises a single nave, reinforced with a semicircular apse that conserves the typical decoration of the first Romanesque period, blind arcades and Lesene strips. A two-storey square bell tower rises up from the nave. Under the central window of the apse there is a line of herringbone stonework.
Sant Vicenç de Rus The building was erected in the 12th Century over remains from the High Middle Ages. It contains mural paintings original from Linear Gothic and reproductions of Romanesque mural paintings of the 12th Century. You can find the old parochial church of Sant Vicenç de Rus in Castellar de n'Hug, at the Southern slope of the Pyrenees Mountains. Its access is by the road between Pobla de Lillet and Tosses (Km 9.5).

Asland Cement Museum in Castellar de n'Hug Asland Cement Factory, at Clot del Moro, in the township of Castellar de n'Hug, was closed about 30 years ago. The ruins, preserved until nowadays, still reflect the magnificence of one of the most incredible manufacturing spots of the Catalan industrialization, located in a unique environment.
Circus Museum The collection about the circus world was handed over by Josep Vinyes; it contains pictures, posters, leaflets, circus objects, literature and so on. It is provided with new exposition space, specially reformed for such a unique collection like this one. This is located in the town of Berga.

Espai d'Interpretació de la natura del Berguedà
Information Centre of Massís del Pedraforca and Mining in Saldes The centre displays, with a permanent exposition, the meaning and the peculiarities of Pedraforca mountain, emblematic peak and natural heritage, and coal mining, the industrial activity that has carved the last century of the township. An audiovisual document about the village of Saldes and its people completes the exposition.
Jaciment Paleontològic de Fumanya
Jardins Artigas (Gaudi's Garden) Artigas Gardens, planned by Antoni Gaudí in 1905, show us the naturalistic facet of the architect; here, his work meets the elements in total harmony. Fountains, benches, rails and bridges over Llobregat river, surrounded by leafy vegetation, will keep you accompanied during your walk.
M.A. Milions d'Anys (Millions of Years) The permanent exhibition of M. A. Milions d'Anys introduces visitors to the surprising world of palaeontology through information provided by fossilised remains (bones, eggs, footprints, excrements, plant species, etc.) and the main fossil beds in Catalonia, especially those in Berguedà, which have over 3,000 dinosaur footprints from the Upper Cretaceous period, the last survivors of which lived in Catalonia 65 million years ago. It is located in the village of Vallcebre.
Medieval and Cathar Centre In the ancient Palau de Pinós in Bagà there is a permanent exhibition on the Cathars and the Medieval era of the town of Bagà. As we pass through the different rooms, various characters explain the link between the Cathars and the local area as we discover the rich past of the historic capital of Alt Berguedà. An interesting option is to round off a visit to the Medieval and Cathar Centre with a walk round the historic centre of Bagà.
Mining Museum This museum is dedicated to the coal mining industry in Berguedà. It is located in the mining colony of Sant Corneli, which, following the model of the industrial colonies already established in Catalonia, was founded at the end of the nineteenth century to accommodate the people employed in the coal mines. Today it is one of the best-conserved mining settlements in Spain. The museum is located in the mining colony of Sant Corneli.
Municipal Museum of Gósol (Picasso Room) Picasso hall contains a collection of copies of compositions made by Picasso while he was in Gósol, including a notable facsimile of the "Catalan identity card". An interesting option is to round off a visit to this museum with a trip to the Castle of Gósol and the old village. It is situated in the village of Gósol. They offer guided visits

Riutort Petroleum Mine The feature that sets apart the Riutort mine in Guardiola de Berguedà from others in the Berguedà region is in fact that petroleum was extracted from it (bitumen). Even today, after one hundred years of inactivity, the trickle of petrol can still be seen in the rocks.
Shepherds Museum Here it is possible to find everything that is related to the world of sheep, flocks and the shepherds who look after them. At the museum we find, among other things, a typical stone hut of the type shepherds used to take refuge in, an explanation of transhumance and wool production, and the products arising from this field of activity. This museum is located in the village of Castellar de n'Hug.
The Anisoteca (collection of bottles of anisette) of Castell de l'Areny It contains more than a thousand sealed bottles of anis from around the world. This is located in the village of Castell de l'Areny.
Sanctuaries
Santuari de Falgars The present building dates from 1646 and contains still some elements and engravings from the original romanesque chapel. This chapel is mentioned as early as 1049. Falgars holds several folk celebrations: Saint Marc in April, the meeting of Poblatans (people from La Pobla) in June, the festivity of the Virgin on Septembre 8th, these are occasions to enjoy traditional culture, among which the Dance of Falgars.
